Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Space Imaging, Incorporated to acquire a unique, high resolution multispectral and panchromatic imagery product for purposes of classifying land cover/land use and conducting studies within the Little Miami River Watershed in Ohio, USA. The Government believes that no other source possesses the unique technology, knowledge and specific experience using the IKONOS satellite to perform these services. This notice is not a request for quotations. However, any firm believing itself capable of meeting EPA requirements may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of complying with the specifications. Such documentation must be submitted to the point of contact within 15 days of electronic posting of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to cnduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis.
