ELECTRONIC RFP ANNOUNCEMENT: POTENTIAL OFFERORS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION AND AMENDMENTS.) The Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institute of Health (NIH), intends to award up to six contracts under the the existing Master Agreement (MA) pool for "Phase II Clinical Trials of New Chemopreventive Agents". The RFP consists of six workstatements (Nos. 73 through 78) as follows: No. 73 A Phase IIa Cancer Prevention Trial of the PPAR( Agonist Pioglitazone in Oral Leukoplakia; No 74 A Phase IIb Cancer Prevention Trial of NSAIDs in Oral Leukoplakia; No. 75 An Exploratory Study to Evaluate the Effect of HPV 16 Vaccine on the Reduction of Viral Load in HPV 16 Positive Women with Persistent Viral Infection, but Low Grade Disease (ASCUS/LSIL); No.76 A Study to Identify Biomarker Modulation by Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) Inhibitors in Breast Tissue of Premenopausal Women at High Risk for Estrogen Receptor Negative (ERN) Breast Cancer; No. 77 Phase IIb Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Trial of an NSAID for the Modulation of Biomarkers in Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS); No.78 Phase IIb Clinical Trial of a Topical Agent to Prevent Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer in Organ Allograft Recipients. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this project is 54171. AN AWARD WILL ONLY BE MADE TO A MASTER AGREEMENT HOLDER IN THE PHASE II CLINICAL TRIALS OF NEW CHEMOPREVENTIVE AGENTS MASTER AGREEMENT POOL. Those who are not currently in the Phase II Clinical Trials of New Chemopreventive Agents Master Agreement Pool and who wish to be considered for inclusion should consult the NCI Research Contracts Branch website at http://rcb.nci.nih.gov/ under "Current Request for Proposals" scroll to Master Agreement Announcements and refer to RFP No. N01-CN-85077-57. The duration of the current Phase II Master Agreement Pool is 10/1997 through 10/2002. It is anticipated that this RFP No. N01-CN-15000-46 will be available around May 7, 2001.
