Description

17. A Request for Quotation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12/ACQUISITION OF COMMERCIAL ITEMS to furnish and deliver one (1) 300' self supporting communication tower for Collinsville, Oklahoma Radio Station and one (1) 200' self supporting communication tower for Red Fork, Oklahoma Radio Station. The main components of the work include the supply of two (2), three-legged, or four-legged, solid leg member, self-supporting microwave towers, including antenna pipe supports, climbing ladders, a rotatable PCS platform for the Collinsville tower, and lightning rods as specified. Manufacturers' drawings or catalog data sheets for all equipment material shall be submitted for review. The towers shall be designed and furnished by a company that has been regularly engaged in the manufacture of radio facilities. The estimated magnitude of this proposed acquisition is between $250,000 and $500,000. The completion date is June 1, 2002. The solicitation package will be furnished only upon written request and receipt of payment of a $15.00 non-refundable check for a hard copy of the solicitation. Checks, money orders or cashier's checks shall be payable to "Southwestern Power Administration." No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. The written request must state the solicitation number, title of project, firm name, street address, mailing address, telephone number and facsimile number. When issued, the solicitation will be available on the Internet at the address http://www.swpa.gov under the icons "Acquisitions" and "Requests for Quotes." All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by Southwestern. This proposed acquisition is restricted. See Numbered Note 1.
