Lease of Vehicles for the Forest Service, San Bernardino National Forest, 1824 South Commercenter Circle, San Bernardino, CA 92408. RFQ NO.: R5-12-01-5032. DUE: 05/11/01. DESCRIPTION: This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532120. Small Business Size Standard is $18.5 million. ITEM 001: 4 EACH or Ton 4X4 6-Pack short-bed pickup trucks. All vehicles to be the same color, preferably white. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, San Bernardino N.F. Auto Shop, 4121 Quail Canyon Road, San Bernardino, CA 92404 by May 21, 2001; ALTERNATIVE #1 -- ITEM 002: 4 EACH or Ton 4X4 6-Pack utility-bed pickup trucks. All vehicles to be the same color, preferably white. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, San Bernardino N.F. Auto Shop, 4121 Quail Canyon Road, San Bernardino, CA 92404 by May 21, 2001; ALTERNATIVE #2 -- ITEM 003: 4 EACH any combination totaling 4 of Items 001 and 002. All vehicles to be the same color, preferably white. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, San Bernardino N.F. Auto Shop, 4121 Quail Canyon Road, San Bernardino, CA 92404 by May 21, 2001; ALTERNATIVE #3 -- ITEM 004: 2 EACH 4X4 Suburban/Excursion and 2 EACH 4X4 6-pack trucks. All vehicles to be the same color, preferably white. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, San Bernardino N.F. Auto Shop, 4121 Quail Canyon Road, San Bernardino, CA 92404 by May 21, 2001. Each quote will be on a per month basis. The vehicles will be leased from date of delivery for a period of 12 months. All vehicles must meet California Emission Standards. Fire Crews will use these vehicles on dirt roads that are dusty, narrow, brushy, and steep. Quotes are to be FOB Destination. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; and FAR 52.215-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Requiried to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders Commercial Items with the additional FAR clauses stated at the following paragraphs within 52.212-5 applying: (a)(b)(11)(12)(13)(14)(15)(18)(24)(d)&(e).
