Description

Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and supervision necessary to install galvanized steel I-beam supports under the existing seawater tank for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Milford Laboratory, 212 Rogers Avenue, Milford, CT. The seawater tank is located in the penthouse on the roof of the three story laboratory. The contractor is responsible for all rigging required to complete the work. The Government is planning a pre-bid conference and site visit during which potential contractors may obtain a better understanding of the work required. IT IS MANDATORY THAT BIDDERS VISIT THIS SITE DURING THE CONFERENCE TO FULLY INFORM THEMSELVES ABOUT THE LOCATION AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE WORK IS TO BE PERFORMED. QUOTES SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO ATTENDED THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT. QUOTES RECEIVED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO DID NOT ATTEND THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT SHALL BE REJECTED. The conference and site visit are scheduled for Wednesday May 9, 2001 at 10:00 am at the Milford Laboratory, NMFS, 212 Rogers Avenue, Milford, CT. It is anticipated that this requirement will be awarded utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. This is a small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Copies of the Request for Quotation will only be provided in response to written or faxed requests.
