Description

Mine Closures, Work consists of closing approximately 35 mines on lands administered by Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai and Shoshone Counties Idaho and Colville National Forest, Pend O Reille County, Washington. Twenty-one mines are to be closed with steel structures fabricated from structural tube, bars and angles as specified. Installation includes welding, cutting, drilling, applying protective coating, and providing a healthy and safe work environment. Some work is underground and/or in wet conditions. Other work consists of supplying and installing culverts and earthen and concrete plugs for closures. Government furnishes some materials. Multiple awards with indefinite quantities. Estimated start work June 2001 with completion by November 2001. Price range between $25,000 and $100,000. See Note 26.
