Description

Requirements Contract for base year and two one-year options. The Solicitation Number is DAAE24-01-Q-0042 and will issued as a Sole Source. Shall be mineral composition, subangular in shape, contain no or standard grade 40 material, be "free silica" (less than 1%). To be used at existing facilities at the Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, AL 36201-4199. Shall be used to blast clean surfaces, such as vehicle components and hardware, for removing rust, scale, and old painting and to provide surfaces that are clean and suitable for plating, coating and painting. This is a negotiated procurement with only one source, Unimin Corporation, 258 Elm Street, New Canaan, CT. in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). North American Industrial Classification System is 327910. Size standard is 500 employees. Firms that recognize and provide material that meets the requirements are encouraged to identify themselves no later than 15 days from the date this is published, and provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer which will permit their participation in future solicitations. Request must be in writing. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102 (a) (7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided.
