Description
Potential Sources Sought -- Architect and Engineering Firms. This is a Source Sought Synopsis. This is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for Solicitation will not receive a response. The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (ETA), contracts for architect and engineering (A/E) and construction services at 120 Job Corps Centers located throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. (See http:www.jobcorps.org/center.htm for the listings and locations of Job Corps Centers). Several of these centers are located in hubzones. Small businesses located within Hubzones are encouraged to apply for Hubzone certification. Information regarding Hubzone certification can be found at http:www.sba.gov. ETA is currently seeking potential sources from hubzone, small service disabled veteran-owned, small woman-owned businesses, for architect/engineer design and construction administration services. These services may include, but are not limited to, services for new facilities and the rehabilitation and upgrade of existing facilities and systems, to include new buildings, building additions and/or building renovations at various Job Corps Centers located throughout the United States. Required disciplines are: Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical (plumbing & HVAC), Electrical and Environmental (design and construction monitoring for the removal of Asbestos and Lead Paint), etc. This is not a request for SF 254s and SF 255s. Do not submit capability statements or SF 254s/SF 255s; instead, interested firms businesses are required to submit their written statement of interest and capabilities no later than July 02, 2001, to Small Business Advocate, U.S. Department of Labor, ETA, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room S-4203, Washington, DC 20210. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Respondents to this source sought should provide the following information: Name of Company; Address; Point of Contact; Phone, Fax, and E-mail address. 1. Indicate if your company is a small service disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned, or Hubzone business under NAICS Code 541310 and 541330 (Small Business Size Standard $4,000,000). Hubzone firms should include a copy of the Hubzone certification issued by SBA. 2. List any contracts which your company is currently performing or have completed within the last three years that would be considered the same as/similar to the type of services described above. Include the contract number, title, type of contract (e.g., cost or firm-fixed price), dollar value and reference with contact name and current phone number. Also indicate if the work was performed as prime or subcontractor. 3. Discuss any indicators of successful performance as measured by favorable past performance ratings. 4. Describe how your company maintains effective control (management and quality) over subcontracted portions of these contracts.
