Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items. The US Securities and exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole-source basis to the Center for Financial Research and Analysis (CFRA) for a web-based research service on a subscription basis. This service shall provide full reports, news updates, and current news and analysis of SEC filings and important changes in accounting rules. The service shall also provide information on U.S. companies with a market capitalization of over $200 million with an emphasis on alerting investors and creditors about companies experiencing operational problems and employing unusual or aggressive accounting practices. The service shall also be expected to expand within a year to include the "Global 1,000", defined as companies worldwide with a market capitalization of $5 billion or higher. Companies in the real estate, REIT's, and electric utilities sectors are specifically excluded. Interested parties are advised that no solicitation document is available for this acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capacity to respond to this requirement or to submit capability statement. The period of performance will be for one year. Accordingly, the SEC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, the Center for Financial Research and Analysis. See Note 22.
