Description
The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, transportation and equipment and all other services necessary to demolish and dispose of 8 houses belonging to the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. Included in these services is demolition, removal and disposal of all debris (including concrete slabs and foundations), and restoration of the sites to their natural (grass) state. These houses are located in Mississippi directly adjacent to the Natchez Trace Parkway as follows: 1 frame house constructed on a concrete slab with partial brick veneer exterior approx. 1121sf in Webster county near Mantee; 2 frame houses constructed on concrete slabs with partial brick veneer exteriors each approx. 1121sf in Attala county near Kosciusko; 1 frame house constructed on a concrete slab with partial brick veneer exterior approx. 1121sf in Madison county near Ridgeland; 2 frame houses constructed on block foundations with brick veneer exteriors each approx. 1415sf in Claiborne county approx. 15 miles north of Port Gibson; and 2 frame houses constructed on block foundations with wood exteriors each approx. 1415sf in Claiborne county near Port Gibson. The Contractor shall receive title to all salvage property to be dismantled or demolished within the immediate confines of the houses. This salvage property will include any item within the facility on the date the solicitation is issued, which includes fixtures, electrical wiring and devices, copper piping and tubing, windows, doors, timbers, brick, and any other material of value to the contractor. A small amount of asbestos containing material (ACM) is present at each site, mostly consisting of floor tile and mastic. An ACM inspection report will be included with the solicitation. The contractor will not be required to separately abate the ACM, but the contractor shall ensure that all demolition operations and disposal of debris is accomplished in accordance with any and all state regulations in effect at the time of the contract. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for work to commence in mid-summer (2001) and all work shall be concluded within 60 days of the start date. Procurement is being conducted as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 235940, with an associated size standard of $11.5 million.
