Description

Provide instructional services and administrative support to deliver Functional Academic Skills Educational Training (FAST) Program for Soldiers, at Fort Hood, Texas, who have skills below the 10th grade academic level in the area of reading, mathematics, and writing. The program is designed to develop educational competencies required for job performance, skill qualification, and career growth. Contractor personnel shall have a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution and have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a discipline related to their teaching assignment. A valid teaching certificate may be substituted for the teaching experience or graduate training. The Contractor must be an accredited institution. Period of performance is 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002 with 4 one-year option periods. The tentative issue date is 15 May 2001 and the tentative date for receipt of proposals is 15 Jun 2001. The NAICS code for this action is 611710, with a size standard of $5,000,000.00. Any resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract. The government intends to conduct this procurement as a commercial service in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15.
