Description

The U.S Postal Service is requesting information concerning mainframe computer software. The U.S Postal Service is currently investigating replacement of a large suite of mainframe products in the following functional areas: System Management, Application Development & Configuration Management, DB2 Product Tools, Repository Software, and Workload Management/Sys-out Management. Suppliers submit information on software products that will provide equivalent features and functionality for the software products listed in the product matrix. In order to expedite analysis, suppliers must complete the attached matrix and provide commercial product overview and/or description of the product and features. Due date for this Request for Information is 3:00 PM April 27, 2001. Suppliers can either e-mail response, or send using United States Postal Service mail. This Request for Information is not a request for competitive proposals. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS, at this time. A determination by the USPS to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the USPS.
