Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire commercial services to move and operate the New York City 1.5 million gallon sludge barge Udall's Cove during the 2001 Fleet Week Celebration 23 to 30 May 01 on a full and open competitive basis. Services shall include towing tug service, pilot services, and personnel to operate the Udall's Cove while in the US Navy's possession. Contractors shall ensure that all the pilots and tug boats used in support of this requirement are certified in accordance with US Coast Guard Regulations. The contractor shall notify the DEP offices by 18 May 01 that they will be taking possession of the Udall's Cove in support of Fleet Week 01. The contractor shall disconnect and remove the Udall's Cove no later than 0600 on 30 May 2001. Award of a frim fixed price purchase order will result for this acquisition effort.
