Description

Work on this project consists of establishing a native hardwood hammock using 16 (sixteen) species of native trees, palms, and shrubs on an upland site situated adjacent to an intact hardwood forest. The restoration site comprises 2.5 acres. Current site is fairly level and currently planted with St. Augustine grass. All nursery stock shall be planted in pre-drilled holes (substrate is limestone). Installation shall include site preparation, drilling, planting, backfilling holes with soil mix, watering, grading and re-sodding. Location of job site is Everglades National Park, Chekika Recreation Area, located 12 miles northwest of Homestead, Florida. 100% set aside for small business concerns.
