Description

The Patuxent Naval Air Station Public Safety Office located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD has a requirement to purchase Key Control Boxes. The following apply: (15) Fifteen Key control boxes model 1300-Part #1302: (471) Four hundred seventy-one Key Control Box Model 3200-Part #3201; (60) Sixty Key Control Box Model 3200-Part 3202; (4) Four Heat Scan Sensor Model 5000; (250) Two hundred fifty Fire Department Connection Cap-Part #3011; (25) Twenty-five Key/wrench Model 3000-Part #3100. The Government contemplates an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract. The period of performance is for one year. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Knox Company, 17672 Armstrong, Irvine, CA 92614 under the authority of FAR 6.301-1. Knox Company is the sole developer and manufacturer of the existing key control boxes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement via e-mail to crosbyrj@navair.navy.mil. The Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all capability statements received in response to this notice. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source based on the responses received. IMPORTANT NOTICE: DFARS 252.204-7004 "Required Central Contractor Registration" applies to all solicitation issued on/after 6/1/98. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Please ensure compliance with this regulation when submitting
