HGU-56/P Communications Earplug (CEP) Modification Work Order (MWO) Kits, MWO 1-8415-216-20-1, PN 1680-ALSE-400-1, capable or delivering increased sound attenuation and speech intelligibility in a high noise environment. Estimated maximum quantity is 10,518 over a 5-year period. This is a sole source acquisition to Communications and Ear Protection, Incorporated, P.O. Box 311174, 303 South Ouida Street, Enterprise, AL 36330. A technical data package suitable for full and open competition is not available for this requirement. The items required are available only from Communications and Ear Protection. This is the qualified source and the only contractor that possesses the proven technical proficiency nad manufacturing capability to produce a product that meets the Government's stringent product specification and the urgent requirement to deploy increased sound attenuation and speech intelligibility capability ASAP to the Army Warfighter.
