Description

CBD Synopsis Submission No. 50J829 dated 20 April 01 is modified to change the Classification Code to 70 -- General Purpose Information Technology Equipment. And the Response Date from 05/04/01 to 04/30/01. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a sole source contract to Bittware, Inc., Concord, NH for 6 ea. HHP4-27-08 Dual Hammerhead SHARC 21160 PC/104 Plus & Board with 256 Mbyte Memory (80 MHZ chip or faster) and 2 ea. HHPC 27-08 Quad Hammerhead SHARC 21160 PCI & Board with 256 Mbyte Memory (80 MHZ chip or faster). This procurement is sole source due to NUWC already having algorithms and related software for these hardware platform products and the need for full compatibility with existing Bittware boards for interchangeable use. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 2001 April 30 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. As this will be solicited orally, not solicitation package will exist. NAICS Code 334419.
