Description

17. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is contemplating award on a sole source basis to Science Applications International Corporation, Mclean, VA location for an increase in the current contract ceiling. The increase will provide for further development and integration of software tools under the current contract for Consolidated Radiation Environments Software. The award will be made on a sole-source basis to SAIC because they are the current developers of software for Consequences Assessment Tool Sets and the Joint Assessment of Catastrophic Events. Further development will involve revised code architecture of the current software tool and will enhance the utility of the current software tool. It will represent a system of models in which SAIC will serve as an integrator of models as well as a developer of code facilitating model integration. The proposed effort will encompass, but not be limited to the following tasks: 1) Further software development of the Consolidated Radiation Software Environments products; 2) Upgrade the human response capabilities associated with development; 3) Integrate consequences assessment and information management into capabilities associated with other weapons of mass destruction models; 4) Customer support for tailored consequence analyses and regional products for planning and reaction to natural and man-made disasters; 5) Provide training, technical support and representation to the user community.
