Description

This is a Request for Proposals for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for Precommercial Thinning and/or Manual Release of conifer plantations on National Forest lands. The project area is located on the Scott River Ranger District of the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County, California. Multiple awards will be considered, to a maximum of 4 awards. The Government will order a minimum of 200 acres for Item 1; 25 acres for Item 2; 35 acres for Item 3; and 6 acres for Item 4. Maximum amounts are 1,000 acres for Item 1; 200 acres for Item 2; 200 acres for Item 3; and 150 acres for Item 4. Contract time for all items will run concurrently. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to perform all work specified therein. The Government will award the contract to the offeror(s) whose offer represents the best value to the Government based on the merits of the proposal for: technical approach, past performance, experience of porject personnel, and price. Estimated issue date is 7 May 2001, with an estimated due date of 13 Jun 2001. A pre-bid tour will be held on 21 May 2001. Estimated start work date is 01 Jul 2001.
