Description

Analysis, design and development of prototypes for a strake modification to the tail boom to be utilized on the U.S. Coast Guard HH-65A helicopter. The requirement will fall under three separate phases as per the Statement of Work, which will be found in the solicitation. Drawings and specifications are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Required period of performance is 30 days after receipt of an HH-65 tail boom assembly to be provided by the Government and furnished to the contractor's facility. Return of the tail boom assembly is to be made to USCG Aircraft Repair and Supply Center, Receiving Section, Bldg. 63, Elizabeth City, NC 27909-5001. Solicitation number DTCG38-01-Q-200030 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under Simplified Acquisition Test Procedures. The Government intends to use FAR Part 12 for the acquisition. The Coast Guard intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis with Boundary Layer Research, Inc., Everett, WA. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency.
