Description
The Agency of Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS), Office of Minority Health(OMH), through the Program Support Center, plans to award a 6 month sole source simplified acquisition to The Grantsmanship Center. The anticipated date of award is may 14, 2001. The Office of Minority Health's (OMH)Mission is to improve the Health of racial and ethnic minority populations, to close the gap in health status between minority and non-minority populations, and to coordinate the development and implementation Of policies and programs affecting these populations across DHHS. The Contractor shall be responsible for but not limited to the Following tasks: 1. The Contractor shall conduct (1) two Grantsmanship technical assistance workshops at 2 sites in Region III (one in Wilmington, De and the second in Virginia Beach, VA) each serving 26 participants and (2) extensive follow up technical assistance with participants including review of the participants' grant proposals for one year after the workshop, and access to The TGCI forum and internet support group of more than 200 TGCI Alumni. 2. Contractor shall develop and provide materials for workshop participants. 3. The Contractor shall mail confirmation packets to participants identified by the Project Officer. Deliverables and Time Frames: 1. Draft of the Grantsmanship Program Schedule. 2. Equipment needs and supplies for the Technical assistance workshops. 3. Description of content of materials that will be provided to the participants. 4. Conduct 2 five-day Grantsmanship technical assistance workshops. (A) Training #1 in Wilmington DE, (B) Training #2 in Virginia Beach, VA. 5. Final report on the technical assistance workshops to include feedback from the participants and a summary from the trainer. (A) Training #1 in Wilmington, DE (B) Training #2 in Virginia Beach, VA The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source Under authority of far 6.302. Interested persons may identify Their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days After the date of publication of this notice. A determination by The Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
