Description

Provide collection and removal of solid waste (garbage/trash) from Government-owned and Contractor-provided receptacles from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Gainesville, FL, in conformance with the requirements and specifications of the contract. Pursuant to FAR 19.10, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. The NAICS code is 562111 and the small business size standard is $10.0 million. The contractor will assure full responsibility for compliance with all Federal, State, County and City laws, ordinances, and regulations governing removal and disposal of solid waste. Bidders must have a City of Gainesville license to haul or convey trash, be experienced, and have adequate equipment, facilities and personnel to perform this service. A pre-bid conference and site inspection will be offered. The base performance period will be approximately 30 days after receipt of order through September 30, 2001 with four optional years for renewal. SOL will be ready around 04/27/01.
