Description

Single award term contract for the Department of Health and Human Service/CDC. Beginning July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002. Assumed area of production is a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, GA. Quality level III required. These specifications cover the production of self- and separate-cover pamphlets requiring such operations as plate-making, printing, binding, affixing labels, mailing, and delivery. Page count will range from approximately 8 to 100 pages; Quantity will range from approximately 12,000 to 33,000 copies per order, with an overall average of 13,500 copies per order. Occasional orders will require a 4 or 8 page insert to be collated into the publications. Government will furnish Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format Files. MMWR weekly file will be available on CDC's secure internet FTP server each Wednesday; login ID and password will be provided to contractor. File naming protocol will be communicated to contractor to enable identification of current MMWR weekly issues and MMWR serial publications. Camera copy will be available in the event of FTP server outage. Various stocks will be required. Print text/insert pages head to head in black ink. Separate covers will print in a single ink color. Saddle-wire stitch in two places and trim three sides. F.o.b. contractor's city for mailed shipments and f.o.b. destination for bulk shipments to Washington, DC, Laurel, MD, Atlanta, GA.
