Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation will be issued through the Commerce Business Daily as will any amendments thereto. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22, effective 3 Apr 01. This requirement is for a Blasting Machine, NSN: 1375-01-417-7104, part number CD450-4J, quantity 1,500 with a 200% evaluated option. CLIN 0001AA is for a quantity of 1,500, FOB Destination, with shipments of 592 to Rock Island, IL, 454 to New Cumberland, PA, and 454 to Stockton, CA. CLIN 0001 contains a 200% evaluated option FOB Origin. The following provisions applies to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial;52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, paragraph (b); 52.212-3, Alternate I and III (a copy of this provision shall be completed and submitted with the offer; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Item; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items along with the additional FAR clauses cited under paragraph (b) 1,5,7,11,12,13,14,14,16,18,24,28. This solicitation is restricted to Research Energy of Ohio Inc, 522 N Main Stenville Pike, P.O. Box 312, Cadiz, OH 93141, offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. Published for subcontracting purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Response is due by 16 May 2001, at 3:45 pm cental daylight time.
