Description

The Eastern Administrative Support Center intends to acquire 60 Thermocouple Temperature Sensors for the Department Of Commerce, NOAA, Atmospheric Turbulence & Diffusion Division. These sensors will be procured on a sole source basis from Apogee Instruments, Incorporated and will be a critical component of a research monitoring system that measures the surface temperature of the ground. The required sensors shall be capable of operating at a temperature range of +40 degrees Celsius, and must be compatible with the Campbell Scientific datalogger. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Interested parties may identify their interest by written communication to the Contracting Officer by April 27, 2001, and must provide evidence of their capability to respond to the requirement. No contract award will be made on the basis of any quotation received in response to this notice since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotation. This is a simplified acquisition with a value below $100,000. Numbered Note 22 applies.
