Description

US Army CECOM intends to issue a Request for Written Quotation, to procure One (1) Lot Services and Materials to procure, integrate, and configure One (1) Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Portable Receive Broadcast Manager (PRBM); and One (1) Lot Services and Materials to provide technical support services for the PRBM. The anticipated period of performance of this buy is one year from date of award. This acquisition is being issued sole source to Raytheon Systems Company, 1010 Production Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, IAW FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), "Only One Responsible Source". The US Government does not possess technical data (drawings or specifications) completely defining the form, fit or function of the item being procured. The form, fit or function is not defined by any nationally recognized industry standard or specification. Raytheon is the developer and the only producer of the PRBM. Only Raytheon is capable of meeting the requirement due to the contractor's in-depth knowledge of the PRBM's internal design and interfaces. The US Army Communications-Electronics Command has established a Business Opportunities Page (BOP) website to allow electronic transmittal of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitation for Bids (IFBs), and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) from CECOM to industry.
