"On 18 April 2001 the Human Systems Program office received direction from the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force to not continue efforts to award a contract to modify or replace the C-9 parachute assembly currently used in the ACES II ejection seat. No further action is being taken for fiscal year 2001 or 2002. The program manager would like to thank all parties who provided information to this project. The data received was valuable in developing the acquisition strategy that would have led to a Request for Proposals.
