Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with W. Colston Leigh, Inc. of Arlington, Virginia to provide a speaker for the ATP National Meeting being held on June 4, 2001. The speaker must be an expert on futuristic technology. The intended speaker has authored a best-selling book on the subject. The proposed requirement is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one responsible source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a Single Source. The procurement document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available.
