Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Office on Managed Care (OMC) through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center is soliciting bids to award a not to exceed twelve (12) months Simplified Acquisition for: Training and Technical Assistance to Peer Review Organizations (PRO's) in Behavioral Health Quality Standards and Performance. The objective of this initiative is to identify mental health and substance abuse state-of-the-art knowledge and applications most needed by PRO staffs and provide training and technical assistance to fill these needs. The acceptability and usefulness of the trainings will be assessed by the contractor, and a report produced that recommends how behavioral health quality improvement activities of the initial set of six PRO's receiving training can be sustained and extended, and how the knowledge and skills of the remaining PRO's on behavioral health quality improvements strategies can be enhanced. In close consultation with the Government Project Officer (GPO), the Contractor shall determine the training materials and back-up reference materials that will be used in six workshops for the PROs. The scheduling of the six workshops in the Washington D.C. metro area will be done by the Contractor. The workshops will be approximately one and one-half days induration with the Contractor responsible for conducting them by the end of the tenth month of work.
