Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is required to conduct an annual telephone survey of marine recreational anglers, gathering information on their participation, fishing effort, and catch in marine recreational fishing, and to periodically collect information on their demographic and economic characteristics. The results of the telephone surveys are processed by NMFS, in conjunction with other data, to produce estimates of total catch by species and total fishing effort. The contract, including any options, will encompass the 2002, 2003, and 2004 telephone surveys, spanning the period from January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2004. The resultant contract will be subject to the Service Contract Act. Wage determinations will be requested for San Diego, CA, Metropolitan Washington, DC, Cincinnati, OH, Plattsburgh, NY and Burlington, VT. The Contracting Officer will request wage determinations for additional localities if requested to do so in writing by 5:00 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, on the fourteenth calendar day after the date of issuance of the solicitation. It is anticipated that Solicitation No. 52-DGNF-1-90028 will be issued on or about May 15, 2001 and will close on or about June 15, 2001. All requests for copies of the solicitation document shall be in writing. No telephone requests will be accepted for the solicitation.
