- TITLE: SURGE AND SUSTAINMENT MEDICAL EQUIPMENT INITIATIVE The Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP), Directorate of Medical Materiel is responsible for satisfying the medical supply requirements of the US Military Services during peacetime and war. Research is currently being conducted to ascertain the capabilities of the medical industrial base to supply materiel during a military operation to include national emergencies or humanitarian relief efforts. The goal of this readiness initiative is to maintain and/or expand a viable industrial base with sufficient sustainment capability to meet Department of Defense requirements for the following medical equipment items: Clinical Chemistry Analyzer (NSN: 6630-01-472-9862); Hematology Analyzer (NSN: 6630-01-476-4792); Patient Thermoregulator (NSN: 6530-01-177-2639); Blood Flow Detection Ultrasonic Unit (NSN: 6515-01-192-9456); Blood Analyzer (NSN: 6630-01-472-9860); Bronchoscope (NSN: 6515-01-173-7054); Electrosurgical Apparatus (NSN: 6515-01-206-6017); Field Anesthesia Apparatus (NSN: 6515-01-435-4305); Blood Fluid Warmer and Pressure Infusion System (NSN: 6515-01-370-5019); Field Surgical Light (NSN: 6530-01-316-8733); Mechanical Field Refrigerator-Freezer (NSN: 4110-01-180-3420); Field Hospital Scrub-Sink Unit (NSN: 6545-01-163-1899) and Hospital Operating Table (NSN: 6530-01-459-1326) Should you have any questions regarding this initiative or wish to participate in the market research effort, please contact: Mr. Anthony Giunta, 215-737-2126, DSCP-MQA, agiunta@dscp.dla.mil no later than May 10, 2001.
