Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)at MacDill AFB,FL has a requirement to replace existing radio amplifiers. The requirement will be met from Fiscal Year 2002 to Fiscal Year 2009 with varying quantities per year. The USSOCOM expects a total requirement of 800 non-developmental/commercial-off- the-shelf amplifiers. The general requirements for the amplifiers are: 1) form and fit of the AM 7175/PTPA-200; 2) power ranging from 50W to 150W; 3) one adjustable amplifier would be preferred, but multiple amplifiers is acceptable; 4) fully interoperable with the PSC-5, the USSOCOM Multi-Band Multi-Mission Radio(MBMMR), and the USSOCOM PRC-117F; 5) must function in all modes of operation to include DAMA and the high data rate mode; and 6) must be suitable for urban, desert, and maritime operating environments.
