Description

The Officer in Charge requires all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and management necessary to provide standard and medical housekeeping services and housekeeping management functions at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. The work identified is to be provided by means of a combination Firm Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity type contract. The contract term is for a base period of one (1) year. The Government shall have the option to extend the term of the contract for four additional periods of 12 months. The total contract term, including exercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months. This procurement will be accomplished through best value source selection procedures. Offerors will provide both a cost proposal and a technical proposal. Offerors will be evaluated on past performance, experience, contractor's capability, and financial capability. Both price and technical factors will be given equal consideration. The contracting officer reserves the right to award on initial proposals without discussions. Offerors are encouraged to submit their offers with its most favorable terms. Award will be made to the offeror submitting the proposals deemed to be the best value to the government, considering both price and technical. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 561720. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-sol) web site on or about June 1, 2001. Proposals are due July 10, 2001. A copy may be viewed and/or downloaded at the following web site: http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors must register on the E-Sol web site prior to downloading the solicitation to notification of any/all changes/additional information related to the solicitation. The proposed procurement listed herein has been accepted by the Small Business Administration for competition in the 8(a) program. ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OFFERS.
