Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue an IFB for Railroad Bedding Preparations Site Work -- RSRM Storage. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000 and the effort shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235930 and $11.5 Million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about 05/10/2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 06/05/2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB. Drawings and Specifications will be available from the Bid Distribution Office at (321) 867-2851 or FAX (321) 867-9187. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. A Site Visit is tentatively planned and details will be addressed in the Solicitation package. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Hard copies of specifications and drawings may be obtained from the Bid Distribution office; however, the closing date for the hard copy received shall be the same as the solicitation, inclusive of any amendments, released on the Internet.
