Description

The U. S. Customs Service (USCS) is soliciting offers for a firm fixed price contract for one Long Focal Length Thermal Imaging (LOFTI) System for performing long-range night surveillance in support of drug interdiction and other law enforcement tasks. The unit shall have an f/6, three field-of-view lens with focal lengths of 1400mm, 400mm and 105mm. The camera shall use a cooled, InSb focal plane array of either 256 by 256 or 320 by 240 pixels. The video output shall be RS-170. The system shall be capable of 115VAC and 12VDC operation and shall be suitable for exterior field deployments under a broad range of environmental conditions. It shall be operated by means of a remote control pendant as well as by a computer using RS-422 serial data. Delivery shall be to Woodbridge, Virginia, twenty-six weeks after the date of award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by USCS. The request for proposals shall be issued electronically on or about May 25, 2001, and may be accessed at www.eps.gov. All other requests must be in writing. No telephone requests.
