CALL FOR VENDOR PARTICIPATION: The Defense-wide Information Assurance Program (DIAP), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (OASDC3I) will sponsored a a 5 day, Department of Defense-wide Computer Crime Workshop, 21-25 May 2001, Colorado Springs, CO, emphasizing the response to DoD cyber incidents. -- -- -- -- -- WHO WILL ATTEND? Individuals representing the 3 critical functions at every DoD installation that would be involved in every computer crime investigation, whether it was a child pornography case or a computer intrusion. The 3 key disciplines that should attend are: 1. Installation Information Assurance (IA) Officers 2. Installation Criminal Investigator 3.Installation Judge Advocate Generals and Assistant US Attorneys (prosecutors) -- -- -- -- -- -- Over 400 DoD personnel are expected to attend. More then 310 DoD personnel attended last year's 1st Computer Crime Workshop in Colorado Springs, CO. DoD participants from all over the world attended from Korea, Germany as well as approximately 60 organizations from 28 states. -- -- -- -- -- WHO SHOULD EXHIBIT? Vendors offering information assurance ( information security ) solutions, data mining, data visualization, biometrics, police and crime simulators, link analysis, identikits / identification kits, automated fingerprint identification systems, facial recognition systems, computer forensics solutions, solutions for criminal investigators, and solutions for legal prosecutions.
