Description

Trawl vessel with a minimum registered length of 120 ft., and a minimum continuous horsepower from the main engine of 1,000 is needed to perform a cruise to tag and release Atka mackerel within Sequam and Tonaga Passes, Aleutian Islands, Alaska. The charter is expected to last 20 days, in order to tag 6,000 fish in each area. The charter must start between 1 and 27 July, 2001, with 24 July being the preferred start date. Vessel must be completely rigged for trawling, and have sufficient fuel and fuel-holding capacity to conduct 25 days of charter operations without refuling. Minimum crew shall consisit of captain, lead-fisherman, engineer-fisherman, and cook-fisherman. The government party shall consist of five persons, and will include women. Expected start and end location is Dutch Harbor, Alaska, while the exact start date will be subject to mutual agreement between the parties. All responsible, responsive offers will be considered.
