- Description
- This action was originally published in the CBD dated October 3, 2000. CORRECTIONS TO ORIGINAL CBD SYNOPSIS FOLLOW: This is a small business set-aside construction contract intended to provide quick response to repairs, renovations and small construction on Civil Work's projects anywhere within the State of Alaska. This contract is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract. Specific work requirements will be described in project specific task orders issued by the Contracting Officer. The Government may award up to two contracts to two responsible contractors whose offers conform to the solicitation and are the most advantageous to the Government. The contractors will share in the Task Order awards up to the total cumulative amount. Estimated duration for these contracts is an initial base period of three (3) years with two (2) options of one (1) year each for a total not-to-exceed five years. The contract limit is $8 million ($2 million for base period) and two additional option years and an additional $1 million per year. There will be no yearly contract limit, nor any limit on each Task Order up to the stated capacity. The Options may be issued at any time. Civil Work's projects may include work on harbors, environmental restoration, breakwaters, erosion protection, recreational areas, and support facilities (small buildings, utilities, roads, culverts, bridges, etc). In addition, minor amounts of similar work may be performed on military reservations and other locations throughout Alaska. Time and materials task orders may infrequently be used for emergency response work (flood or erosion protection for example). In addition to construction, task orders may require incidental design. Incidental design may require the Contractor to complete work plans, material specifications, minor calculations and working drawings as a completion of the design included in the task order scope of work. The contractor shall furnish personnel, services, equipment, tools, materials, plant supervision, and other items, as may be required to accomplish the work. Responders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and/or final award process based on decisions related to DOD changes. The Government reserves the right to exercise the options anytime after award of the base contract.
