Reference Submission No. 50K4H8 submitted on 26 Apr 2001. Delete the following statement: Berthing barge cannot be transported outside Puget Sound WA. Add the following: If the contractor is outside the Puget Sound area, such that Ocean Tow of the YR-78 barge is required, the Offer must include the cost to prep the barge for such tow and return it to the Naval Reserve Center Pier in Tacoma Washington in its original condition. The contract will be a firm fixed price service contract, with a time and materials component for unexpected repairs. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. However, the package contains two drawings that are not available electronically. Therefore, offerors must notify FISC Puget Sound to receive the drawings. No telephone requests will be accepted. A fax to (360) 476-8701 or an email to "julie_a_peterson@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted to request the drawings, or in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection.
