- This is a combined synopsis /solicitation for commercial item(s) prepared in accordance with Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This procurement is conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes a formal Request for Quotation (RFQ) and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. Solicitation number RFQ-RRB/CCL-2001 should be referenced on all proposals. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 621511 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center, Baltimore, MD. intends to solicit quotes and award a firm fixed price contract for laboratory testing services. The contract will be issued for a base period, from date of contract award through September 30, 2001 and two option years (FY'S 2002 and 2003). The selected contractor shall be required to perform the following laboratory test and tasks: (1) Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, approximately 1000/year. (2) Hepatitis C Virus, approximately 1000/year. (3) Human Immunodeficiency Virus, approximately 1000/year. (4) Homocysteines, approximately 700/year. (5) Other none specific test, 500/year. (6) Provide pick-up for samples. (7) Issue reports of analysis within 24 hours. (8) Provide all labor, technology, materials, drugs, supplies, equipment, transportation, and other incidentals necessary to conduct testing. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center, Baltimore, MD. Quotation shall include, proposed delivery in days, pricing for item(s), the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation.
