Description

Provide professional mental health emergency services in support of VAMC Manchester, NH patient care. The contractor shall support general emergency room and intermediate care staff during non-regular hours (weeknights, weekends, holidays) with emergency phone consultation to staff and directly to mental health patients, and with on-site mental health evaluation as requested by VAMC ER, NHCU, and IPCU staff. Services shall include: A. Mental health on-call availability, weeknights from 4:30pm -- 8am, Sat., Sun., and all federal holidays from 8am -- 8am; B. Phone and/or pager accessibility, with a maximum response time of 15 minutes. Phone coverage/initial screening may be performed by Master's level mental health staff. Coverage will include phone consultation to the VAMC ER, NHCU, and IPCU; C. On-site evaluation when requested of mental health patients presenting to the ER, or those admitted to NHCU and IPCU, with maximum response time of 30 minutes; D. Psychiatrist support, on-site if requested, when necessary for complicated mental health issues, for evaluation of patients requiring inpatient admission, or situations in which psychopharmacologic expertise is required. The acquisition will include one 12-month Base year with two 12-month Option years. The NAICS Code is 62211 and the Size Standard is $25.0 million.
