- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Western Regional Office has a requirement to provide Psychiatrist Services to the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution/Federal Prison Camp, Federal Detention Center, 5701 8th Street, Camp Parks, Dublin, CA 94568. The objective of the contract is for the provision of professional medical services provided by a licensed physician board certified in Psychiatry. Proficiency in the outpatient evaluation and medication management of mental health conditions is required. Duties shall include but are not limited to, depression, psychosis, anxiety disorders, bopolar disorders and diagnosis and management of referred patients with conditions that would normally be treated by a psychiatrist in the local community. The Contractor shall normally meet the Psychology staff during the last 15 to 20 minutes of the session to report any significant information. The Contractor must provide to the Clinical Director and Health Services Administrator a page or beeper number for contacting in case of any emergency at the Federal Correctional Institution, Federal Detention Center, and the Federal Prison Camp. The services shall be provided on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays of each week. Session will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. One session shall consist of sixty minutes. It is estimated that a total of 10 to 15 patients will be scheduled for each visit. The services provided, being professional in nature will be provided in the method as considered normal in the local community. These services although not directly supervised will be reviewed by a physician on staff on staff of the Health Services Department at the Federal Correctional Institution. The Contractor will be responsible for submitting written reports, evaluation, and or plan of treatment for all patients evaluated. These reports shall be made on the SF 513 in a SOAP format, including DSM-IV classification and verified by the Contractor's signature. All medical records remain the property of the Federal Correctional Institution and require adherence to the Privacy Act of 1974. This requirement is a small business set aside. All Request for Quotation shall be evaluated in accordance with the following factors: Technical Description, Professional Qualifications, Correctional Experience and Price. The Contractor shall not be required to work Federal holidays. The anticipated date of award is June 08, 2000. The anticipated period of performance is, Base Year: Date of Award through 12 months from award date; Option period #1: 13 months from date of award through 24 months from date of award; Option year #2: 25 months from date of award through 36 months from award date; Option period #3: 37 months from date of award through 48 months from award date; Option Period #4: 49 months from date of award through 60 months from award date.
