Description

This project consists of removal and disposal of existing culverts from government land and replacing them with contractor furnished steel structural plate arches. Excavation operation consist of sorting and stockpiling suitable excavation material for backfill. Additional embankment shall be obtained from Whitetail Material Source. Unsuitable excavation shall be disposed of on Forest Rd. 3330. Riprap and aggregate placement operations consist of machine placed riprap for fillslope protection. Keyed and hand placed riprap with concrete slurry between the concrete footings of the new installations and placement of crushed aggregate surface courses. These materials are to be obtained from a commercial source. Start work date is July 15, 2001. Price range is $100,000 to $250,000. There will be a pre bid meeting on May 22, 2001. Time and location of meeting will be included in the solicitation packet which will be issued on May 9, 2001. Bonding is required. THIS PROJECT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR HUBZONE CONTRACTORS.
