Description

This prospective requirement is for the issuance of an Order for the evaluation and validation of revisions to the AN/UPX-37 Digital Interrogator Specification AS-6164 under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00421-00-G-0325 with BAE Systems Technologies located at 1 Hazeltine Way, Greenlawn, NY 11740-1606. This action falls under the scope of a Class Justification and Approvel processed prior to award of the BOA which cited tatutory authority permitting other than full and open competition title 10, U.S.C. 2304c (1) Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. BAE is uniquely qualified to perform the services as it is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Digital Interrogator and its subassemblies and BAE is the only company with the proprietary data rights to the system and its subassemblies and requisite engineering expertise to identify faults, make needed repairs, provide the high level system engineering and spares support required for all AN-UPX-37 interrogator sets.
