Description
We intend to issue on or about May 7, Solicitation No. 052684-01-A-0141 for Postal Service Item Numbers (PSIN) 1809/10, 1811, 1812A, and 1812B which are used to construct the post office box module nesting (1809/10), to frame post office box assembly along the sides (1811), and to frame along the lower parts (1812A) and upper parts (1812B) for the 1800 and 2900 Lockbox Series on screenline on the customer view side. If you would like a copy of the solicitation, please mail a check for $50.00 (nonrefundable charge) made payable to USPS, Disbursing Officer to SF Purchasing & Materials Service Center, Attn: Susan J. Lum, 395 Oyster Point Blvd., #205, SSF, CA 94099-6260. Please indicate on your check the Solicitation No. 052684-01-A-0141. A contract was awarded for these items to North American Manufacturing, 1074 Barring Avenue, Scranton, PA in March 1996. The most recent unit prices (FOB Origin) for these items are: PSIN 1809/10 -- $21.18, PSIN 1811 $9.99, PSIN 1812A $14.80, and PSIN 1812B -- $15.06. We plan to award all items on a 10 year, FOB Origin, Direct Vendor Delivery, Requirements Type Contract(s) with Economic Price Adjustment(s) in accordance with the Producer Price Index. During the 10-year period, we guarantee to purchase the following quantities during the first three years: PSIN 1809/10 50,000 EA, PSIN 1811 24,000 EA, PSIN 1812A 20,000 EA, and PSIN 1812B 15,000 EA (quantities subject to change when solicitation is issued). The successful supplier(s) shall be required to manufacture these items in accordance with postal specifications. We will electronically transmit orders from the Inventory Control Center in Topeka, KS and the successful supplier(s) will directly ship orders throughout the United States to various post offices within given time periods. The supplier's or suppliers' facility may require necessary space to store items to support the ordering demand.
