Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annoucement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation Number DAHA04-01-T-6032 is a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. This is for purchase of (1) one each of Offset Printing Press. The following specifications are what is to be included as standard or as an add on feature for the requested printing press. Some of the equipment and specifications listed may be general in nature; however, those features marked with an asterisk * are the only acceptable options. Printing Press. * Press must print two colors using a common blanket utilizing a satellite color head. *The same company must manufacture the printing press and satellite head. Approximate Weight Heavy duty construction- 1200-1500 pounds. Approximate Dimensions: 72" x 41" x 53"; Approximate Sheet Size: Maximum- 14" x 19"; Minimum- 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"; Approximate image size- 13 1/2" x 17 3/4"; Feed System: *Landscape Feed. * Electro-mechanical double sheet detector. Registraton System: * Register board. *Micro adjustable mechanical pull guide. Micro vertical adjustment. Sheet Delivery System: *Chain delivery; * Spray powder attachment; Stack limit detector. Inking System: Removable or drop down ink fountain; * A minimum of 3 form rollers; Dampening System: *Kompac dampening system on both the press and satellite head. Power Requirements: 208-220 volts (around 20 Amps) single phase. Motor: * Forward and reverse inching capablilities. Inverter type speed control. Misc. Equipment: Preset/reset counter; electronic jam detect; skip feed devise; ink auto- feed device. Delivery time frame: Not to exceed 30 days from receiipt of order. Preventative Maintenance Agreement: yearly, to include quarterly preventative maintenance and 6 emergency visits with unlimited telephone technical support. Commences when manufacturers Warranty expires. All technicians an/or repair performing inspection(s) and/or repairs of this equipment shall be completely trained by the manufacturer, and fully competent on the specific printing press installed. Quarterly preventative maintenance service consists of cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts when needed to keep the printing press in good operating condition. Maintenance services will be rendered during the contractor's regular business hours. Work will begin on a machine not later than eight (8) working hours after receipt of call for service; Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays excepted. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitation or quote and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of RFQ may rendered your quote as non-responsive and result in the rejection of the same.
