Description

The U. S. Army TACOM-ARDEC has a requirement for 61,000 M783 Detonating Delay/Fuze for Mortar Ammunition for the basic year with one option year for an estimated quantity of between 10,000 to 60,000 Fuzes. The Government plans to negotiate with a single source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) (ii) to modify Contract No DAAE30-98-C-1110 with KDI Precision Products, 3975 McMann Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. It is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the governments needs. Deliveries will begin in December 2001. The M783 is a materiel change version of the M734A1 Multi- Option Fuze. See Note 22.
