- Description
- The Operational Contracting Division at Hanscom AFB, MA intends to make an award on a sole source basis to Epitaxial Technologies Corporation located in Baltimore, MD for the purpose of conducting an in-house research effort on optoelectronic integrated circuit technology. This requirement is for ten (10) wavers Delta-P-type doped InGaA1As compounds grown by molecular beam epitaxy; expitaxially grown semiconducting InGaA1As-based layers on InP substrates. Due to the lack of standardization and the present immaturity in the state of the art, every organization grows these materials differently. The layers contain indium, aluminum, gallium and arsenic. Firms that can satisfy this requirement should submit published specification sheets or product catalogue(s) that clearly identifies the firm's products, which meet the Government's requirements. The firm must also submit a product price list(s) relevant to the acquisition. All responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a purchase award will be issued. Interested firms should submit the above referenced information by 09 MAY 01 to Vera Strickland, Contract Specialist, Email: vera.Strickland@hanscom.af.mil Phone 781-377 6737. See Note Number 22. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph B. Magnone, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired. The Ombudsman does not evaluate proposals or participate in source selection. You can contact the Ombudsman at (781) 377-5106.
