Description

COMMERCIAL ITEM: The USDA Forest Service intends to procure an integrated GPS/IMU navigation sensor for use with and airborne thermal infrared whiskbroom scanner. The navigation sensor is needed to provide accurate realtime correction of imagery collected by the scanner. Size and weight will be considered, since the sensor will be integrated into an existing system which imposes physcial limitations. The sensor should also provide a standard serial interface (RS-232 or RS-422) to deliver sensor attidude, position, and rates at a minimum rate of 50Hz. This procurement is for only one sensor at this time. The proposed contract is 100% set asided for small business concerns. Estimated issue date is 5/17/01.
