Description

Development Alternatives, Inc. on behalf of the U.S. Agency for International Development is seeking to procure the services necessary to create and provide initial deal flow for an off-shore, private equity investment fund to meet the capital requirements of selected Palestinian businesses. The initial design study of the Palestinian Gateway Fund suggested that the Fund will attract foreign investment, expatriate fund management expertice, and capital to West Bank/Gaza, and will facilitate overcoming a perception of West Bank/Gaza as an exceptionally risky environment in which to invest. The services provided under this procurement would focus primarily on building and establishing a world class fund that complies with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission requirements and developing the deal flow to sustain investment through the fund. A single copy of the RFP may be obtained by written request, accompanied by a $20.00 check or money order, made payable to DAI. Requests for the RFP must be received by May 21, 2001. Copies of the solicitation will be forwarded via U.S. mail. Telephone and fax requests will not be honored.
